alright, so my water intake project failed miserably the first time! i don’t think i ever made it past 5 days. pathetic! the great thing is though, i have the power to start all over again! so, here we go…

day 1/30:

glass-of-water

2,400; 300; 75;

what do these numbers all have in common?

well, they’re all different numerical values for how much water i’m planning to drink in the next 30 days.

2,400 oz; 300 cups, or 75 liters.

…wait a minute, i’m not typing this all out again..if you really want to know what i’m talking about with all this water/failed attempt stuff..just read my last post. all the info’s in there.

ciao for now;

glass-of-water

2,400; 300; 75;

what do these numbers all have in common?

well, they’re all different numerical values for how much water i’m planning to drink in the next 30 days.

2,400 oz; 300 cups, or 75 liters.

everyones always telling me that i should be drinking more water, because it’s so beneficial, and i’ve finally decided to test this theory out. so, for the next 30 days, i’m going to drink 10 cups of water a day, and see what changes by the end of it. aside from fighting off the cold i feel like i’m getting, apparently because of the water, my skin is supposed to look better, i’ll loose weight, have more energy and feel better all around. here’s hoping!

i was going to start this yesterday, but i was gone all evening, and only got 9/10 cups in, so i’m starting today instead! hopefully i’ll be able to stick to this! the way i see it, i’m either going to pass with flying colours and meet my quota easily, or i’ll fail miserably. let’s plan for the former.

so, today is day: 1/30

it’s 11:43 am and so far i only have 2 cups done. thankfully i’m still feeling like i’ll be able to meet my goal. however, i’m not sure what i’ll be feeling once i get a liter or two in and start to suffer from water log, and increased bathroom stops.

wish me luck!

it started snowing last week, but hardly anything had accumulated, thankfully! there was probably about a centimeter on the ground, and the weather was still pretty warm, so i was dealing. now, however, the weather is getting cold (i had to turn the heat up in my house) and it’s snowing! last year it didn’t snow until december, so i’m really not happy about this! soon i’ll be having to break out my snow boots and parka!

today while i was working on my biology, my mom started watching the most random videos on youtube. i couldn’t focus on anything because her laughing was distracting me. eventually my brother and i caved, gave up on school and started watching videos with her. this one was my favorite!

tonight i have to drive my brother and i in to hip hop class. hopefully i get everything done in time, because i’d hate to miss it! we are possibly picking our year end song tonight, so it’s a big deal! haha.

what song would you want to dance to?

i’d love to have some excuse for my absence, but the truth is; i don’t. things haven’t been super busy here lately, so i have no idea where i’ve been! just lazy i guess.

let’s see..how about a re-cap of the past few weeks?

Eskimos Game

i went to the eskimos game on the 25th with my family! it was so, so much fun! edmonton was playing against saskatchewan, and the place was packed! we were kind of worried about our seats, since we were in the overflow area (meaning all bench seating, and no shelter from wind, rain or leaves), but the seats ended up being pretty good. it was super windy, which wasn’t much fun..and it rained a little bit. however, we stayed nice and dry thanks to our green and gold EE ponchos.

Spook cat.

i put my kitty cat on a diet recently. she’s much to overweight and it makes me sad. 17lbs is much to heavy for a cat, so now she’s on a strict wet-food-only diet. she’s excited about the wet food, but not so thrilled about the smaller amounts. hopefully it works. she’s old, and i don’t need obesity adding to an early death!

DSC04834

i got my license last tuesday! after failing 2 times throughout the summer, i was so excited to actually get it that i almost started crying! i’m so grateful to everyone who’s been praying for me! God is good, and his plan is perfect. always. he’s taught me a ton through all of this, and as hard as it was for me, failing was a good thing.

wax lips.

last weekend was regional numero uno! it was at southgate alliance church. so, so, so much fun! it was awesome getting to see all my northern friends again. the crazy thing is, majority of our district is in the north now! weird. although, i was sad that it was my last ‘free’ quiz meet, it was more fun than sad. i had such a wonderful team, and i was so proud of each and every one of them! they did amazing, and i could not have asked for a cooler team! thank you everyone for making it such an awesome weekend!

anyway, i should head off and get some english done!

Prairie Gardens!

Today I went to the Prairie Gardens Corn Maze with my mom and brother. I had never been to a maze of any sort, so I was super excited! I never thought it would be so hard though. We had to find 13 secret letters in the maze, in order to de-code the secret word. The words were on coloured posts through out the maze, and they were really difficult to find. My mom only lasted around 45 minutes, before the heat got to her, but my brother and I were in the maze for almost 2 hours. We finally found all the secret letters and were able to de-code the secret word: Sturgeonshire. I left the maze once, to go and see if my mom was okay, and almost didn’t go back in! It was so nice in the shade! Way better than being sweaty in the corn. It was about 33 degrees out today, and there was absolutely NO breeze because of the corn, so I was definitely really warm. I got a super big head ache -because I didn’t drink enough water- which was no fun, but all in all, it was great!

So much Corn!

I’m thinking about making some lemon-aid this weekend. I’ve made plenty of lemon-aid from powdered mixes and frozen solutions, but never from freshly squeezed lemons. We had some amazing lemon-aid at the corn maze today, and it got me thinking. I don’t like lemon-aid unless it’s fresh, so why not make my own? Hopefully it works out. I’d hate to squeeze the lemons wrong, or put the wrong amount of sugar into it.

Well, I had better go and get ready for bed. I’ve been having some trouble falling asleep lately, so hopefully the sun, and intense walking in circles will be able to change that!

ciao,

one_love_medium2so, the other day kyle and i had our own little photo-shoot in order to show off our new tobymac t-shirts. truth be told, we both look kind of cute. kyle’s picture looks so great. i love it. haha. this is really one of the first times in a long time we’ve taken pictures like this together and i really missed it. he’s growing up i guess. i was so happy when he wanted to take pictures with me yesterday. i edited them all up today and i think they look pretty sweet. the only downside to it all, we went out at like, 9pm and the mosquitos were insane! bloodthirsty things..

this week’s been sweet. not a lot happened though. just school, school and quizzing. i’ve been going on some walks lately. it’s nice to just get out and enjoy the fresh air. i don’t like being so lazy, and boy oh boy have i been lazy lately. hopefully i can kick that habit and start a new and better one.

i tried jumping rope one day. mom and kyle went out and turned for me so it was fun. i’m really awful at it though. i can go for like..2 seconds and then i have to stop. haha. i was trying to learn how to double-dutch and i was so bad! i never realized how hard it is. you have to start outside the ropes and then run into the middle eventually. my first try i just ran in and stood there covering my head. kind of funny actually. try two went a little better. i actually made it in, but after that i didn’t know what to do so i go tangled up. maybe next time will be better. i should youtube it and see if they have any hints.

my friend sara came over on saturday. that was so much fun. there was this fair going on in bruderheim so we decided to check it out. it was pretty great. they had chuck wagon races. we didn’t really watch a lot of those though. we spent more time in the petting zoo. i mean really, they had a kangaroo! what can compete with that? i now want a kangaroo for christmas. =]] anyway, after spending like, half an hour at the petting zoo we went on this midway ride thing. you sit in these little compartments and then it spins you around in a big circle while you turn your little seat. kind of like the teacups? am i making any sense? probably not, but they were fun. and free! cotton candy was good too! haha.

after the fair we hung out on the trampoline for a while and then did some quizzing practice for internationals. it was a lot of fun. we didn’t get to do a ton because my mom was making turkey all day but it was still plenty to boost my confidense. i realized today, i have a fear of turkeys. and not just a small one either. when i was at the petting zoo there was a turkey and my brother wanted me to pet it so he could take a picture. i stood like, 10 feet away and tried to reach it. so scary! the only good turkey is a cooked one.

we went and saw night at the museum saturday night. i was actually pretty good. i wasn’t a big fan of the first one, but i liked the second. it was a lot more fun with a ton more comedy. the first one didn’t really have any i found. anyway, it was good. go see it!

tonight we’re going swimming. it should be good. i feel so good after i swim. haha. we didn’t go like, at all last week because of colds, and sore legs from yc so hopefully we get out a lot more this week.

hmm..well, i suppose i should go find some lunch.

xoxo-breanna

p.s. listen to family force 5’s ‘dance or die with a vengeance’ cd. it’s soo great. =]]

kyle and i at [YC09]

kyle and i at [YC09

i was at yc on the weekend and it was AMAZING! i had such a great time. i spent a ton of money though. i wasn’t even in the building for 3 minutes and i had spend $45..it was crazy. shirts drain money, and the food at rexal is so insanely expensive! $4.75 for a large pop and $4 for a water. i was not happy about it. i pretty much just filled up my water bottle all weekend.

friday night was so great. especially for just getting there. everyone was on such a high and so excited to be there and we were not let down. the opening was so amazing. they has such great pyro. so exciting. then ‘david crowder‘ lead worship and we had a session from reggie dabbs. after that it was time for ‘relient k‘! so stellar. i knew every single song and was so excited. they’re one of my favourite bands and i was dying to see them live. some people were like, -ooh..they’re too mellow for the first night-, yeah..almost got your face torn off right there. they were fantastic!

i pretty much hung out with kyle all day on saturday which was great. we went and bought a bunch of shirts. we were going to get ‘family force 5′ ones, but they were all sold out of everything but smalls and Xsmalls within 5 minutes. i was not impressed. i did get shirts from ‘jay and the lovebirds’, ‘hawk nelson’, ‘toby mac’, and ‘thousand foot krutch’ though. they’re extremely cool looking. i love them a lot.

we got our shirts during the first concert because it was ‘grits’ and neither kyle or i liked them. it worked out good. after we got all our clothing we headed to the ‘pillar’ line up. we were at the back of the line, but then the moved the line and we rushed to the new line. it ended up cutting like, half the line for us. haha. pretty sweet. we still had to wait, like, 30 minutes but we finally got in. we got good seats for the ‘pillar’ concert but kyle and i both hated them. not our scene. haha. we were only there to get good seats for ‘family force 5‘ afterwards. thankfully we were able to push our way down onto the floor. we were the last people allowed on. i’m pretty sure everyone hated us. it was so amazing though! they put on such an amazing show! i was so happy. i don’t think i stopped jumping and dancing that whole show.

after ‘family force 5′ we had to go back to the bus to eat. everyone else was already done cause we were supposed to meet at 4:30pm and we didn’t get there till like, 5:10pm. anyway, we ate our subs and headed to rexal to hear reggie dabbs again. he was really good, but i have to admit, i found it really hard to pay attention while reggie was speaking. probably because of all the jokes; they just distracted me. i liked judah smith better. he was talking on luke 15 about the prodigal son and how we don’t earn grace, it’s given to us because of who God is. it was really good and definitely something i needed to hear.

that night we got to hear ‘red‘ and ‘thousand foot krutch’ play. i liked ‘red’, but not nearly as much as ‘tfk‘. probably because i didn’t know their songs as well. they still put on a really good live show. kyle kept commenting on how much makeup the lead singer had on..haha. it did look kind of funny on the close-ups but you couldn’t really notice when you were just watching him. ‘tfk’ was amazing, as expected. i love them so much. especially trevor mcnevan’s voice. he’s so great. i knew almost every song they did. once again, didn’t sit down all night.

amazingly enought, sunday was really good too. i thought that it might have slowed down a but, but it didn’t. after our first session we headed off to a tasty lunch of chicken dogs. (so much better than regular ones). once we had filled our tummys we went and stood in line for ‘hawk nelson‘. it’s usually a super busy concert so we went early. we heard the last song of ‘group 1 crew‘. they weren’t my favourite but they weren’t bad either. they’re different from anything else there so it was nice to have some variety.

‘hawk nelson’ was alright. not nearly as busy as it was on saturday. i didn’t like them as much as the first time i saw them though. the lead singer’s voice was kind of off. as if he had hit puberty again. i like his voice better on the cds. thank you computer editing! they weren’t as exciting to watch either. oh well, they weren’t bad.

when we had seen our concert we headed off to get kyle some sunglasses. he picked out some sweet ones. i actually really like them. if he hadn’t gotten them i think i would have. oh well.. my youth pastor’s wife jen took me to meet some people at ambrose university/college. it was kind of awkward because i realized i have no idea what’s going on with my future. they were asking me what i wanted from my education programs and such and i just sat there like a deer in the headlights with no idea. guess it’s something i’ll need to look into more.

sunday evening closed off with a ‘toby mac‘ concert. it was FANTASTIC!! not a lot of people like him, but he was so good. i think everyone in the arena was having a good time. he’s so much fun to watch and he has so much energy. i think i would be lying on the floor passed out within 5 minutes of his show. haah. i jumped and danced the whole hour and a half. that’s probably why my legs hurt so bad.

so, i guess what i’m trying to say is: live it loud [YC09] was amazing and i’m already looking forward to next year. =]]-breanna
